Well-being. Some describe it as the state of being happy and healthy. For me specifically, I would tend to agree with that and I think it is the most important thing out of anything else in your life. Sure, it’s important to make an income, or to finish out that last college class (even though you are dreading it), but are those the most important things in life? I would say no.
Some of you are probably thinking that I am crazy. You can’t survive without a job that brings in an income. Although you could technically survive, you are right – you would not thrive in life without sufficient income, I get it. But, if you go through life (with a job) without being happy and healthy, you could be limited when it comes to accomplishing your basic life goals and dreams. In addition, if you are not healthy, you could not even be able to work a job, which would severely impact your day to day life. That is why I believe that prioritizing your well-being, or like I mentioned, your happiness and health, is of utmost importance, above everything else.
Because of this, I wanted to take the time to write an article about how to make prioritizing your well-being a bit easier on you. Here are four things that you can prioritize to enhance your well-being:
Exercise
First and foremost, exercise should always be a part of a wellness routine and it significantly impacts your overall well-being and life. Now, I understand physical limitations, so I am not saying that every single person needs to go out and run a mile or more, but depending on yourself, your needs, and your goals, you should fit some kind of exercise into each and everyday. It can be something simple like a walk, 50-100 squats throughout the day, or even basic stretching to loosen up your limbs.
Time Away From The Computer
Time away from your computer is very necessary, but it is very hard to do when you run a website. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but managing my website brings quite a bit of stress into my life. Please don’t get me wrong – I love writing and owning my blog. I just hate all of the nitty gritty small tasks, such as search engine optimization. These small tasks take up so much time during the day and if you do your search engine optimization incorrectly, you have a lot to lose (and it’s not easy to learn, either).
There is a way to take time away from the computer to enhance your well-being while still improving your website (no matter if it is a business website, or a personal website). My solution is to hire someone else to do it for you! The number 1 digital marketing company in the area, SEO New Jersey, or NJ SEO for short, is there to help you with all things related to search engine optimization and other digital marketing needs that will improve your website. The best thing about it is that when you hire them to do it for you, your free time becomes significant.
NJ SEO can help you with services such as search engine optimization, web design, web development, mobile marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, PPC, and more. NJ SEO provides month to month services, so you are not locked into any long-term contracts, which is always nice. Last but not least, you also know that you are in great hands when you work with them. Matt Anton, who is in charge of client strategy and execution is cited as an SEO expert, has over 100 endorsements and recommendations and is listed as one of the top local SEO marketers. Matt, along with his team at NJ SEO consistently deliver outstanding results and they can lead you every step of the way.
Putting Down Your Phone
Just like I mentioned above with the computer, it’s very important to put down your phone, as well. In general, everyone is now obsessed with social media and seeing how many “likes” they can get on things. While this is a great perk for businesses, it can be detrimental to your overall well-being. Put your phone away and start focusing more on your happiness instead of the likes on your screen.
The Products You Use In Your Home
Last but not least, let’s talk about the products you use in your home because these have a way to help or harm your overall health. Slowly but surely we are learning more and more about how harmful some chemicals are. For example, everyone loves the smell of lavender, but did you know that a lot of companies imitate the smell of lavender and are actually not using the plant at all? On cleaning products and beauty products, you will see an ingredient listed as fragrance, or parfum. Try to avoid these when possible, because if you do research on them, they are quite toxic.
