USGA Senior Open 2022

This post is sponsored by USGA. All opinions are my own.

The 42nd U.S. Senior Open Championship, contested June 21-26, was
the third U.S. Senior Open Championship held at the club. It’s the 90th USGA
championship that has been conducted in Pennsylvania.
The field comprised of 156 of the world’s best professional & amateur senior golfers !

This was certainly a can’t-miss, family-fun event of the summer in the Lehigh Valley area.

The U.S. Senior Open was first played in 1980. The championship for golfers
age 50 and older is open to any professional and amateur golfer with a
Handicap Index® not exceeding 3.4.
Eight players have won both the U.S. Open and the U.S. Senior Open
Championships. The list includes current champion Jim Furyk, Billy Casper,
Hale Irwin, Orville Moody, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee
Trevino.

The U.S. Senior Open featured several different family-fun elements including but not limited to the “19th Hole” and the family favorite Junior Experience.
